The marketing technology consulting industry is highly competitive, with over 2,000 companies offering services to help businesses optimize their digital marketing software. These services range from email marketing and web design to revenue operations (RevOps), data cleaning, and CRM optimization.
User Experience Research leads to attention-grabbing Data Monster Designs.

My Role
Content Strategy & UX Design
I was responsible for designing and testing creative concepts to help The Insight Studio stand out in the competitive landscape of over 2,000 digital marketing CRM technology firms. I developed two design themes—“Data Monster” and “Clean Up Data Janitor”—and conducted user research to determine which resonated most. The “Data Monster” design emerged as the clear favorite.
In addition to design, I contributed to the company’s content strategy by crafting technical blogs on CRM best practices, data management, marketing automation, and channel collection strategies.

Personas
Through user testing, we discovered that the Data Monster theme resonated more with The Insight Studio’s male audience, while the Cleaning persona appealed more to female users. Based on these insights, we developed targeted blog content and landing page designs for each persona, followed by further testing using data analytics.
The Insight Studio continues to refine these personas as part of its new look and feel. The team is excited that both designs stand out in the competitive landscape—offering a fun, creative approach that differentiates them from other industry players.

Click Rates – User Testing
To evaluate the usability and effectiveness of The Insight Studio’s website, we conducted user testing across three versions: the original site, the Clean Up Data Janitor theme, and the Data Monster theme. Participants were given tasks such as finding pricing information for a consultation or identifying the types of services offered.
We tracked key metrics, including time on site, click-through rates, number of clicks, and user errors (such as missed clicks or navigating to the wrong page). These insights helped us assess the strengths and pain points of each design, guiding further refinements to improve the user experience.
